The Donald J. Klaes Classroom Education Grant Program

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CLASSROOM EDUCATION GRANT PROGRAM?

Teachers are creative people. They have great ideas of how to engage their students in various topics. However, they may find that budget constraints can put a wet blanket on their ideas.

The Classroom Education Grant Program was designed to help bring to the classroom those bold creative ideas that will inspire students.

These grants are designed to fund highly creative, but low cost ideas.

The Community Foundation of Jackson County has established education as one of its two primary areas of emphasis. It is our goal to encourage students and teachers to think creatively. We want to encourage them to question, explore and find new answers to age old questions. This means helping students to engage in learning in new ways and helping teachers to explore new ideas. Teachers who want to explore new means, methods and bold initiatives will be in the forefront of this grant opportunity. The Foundation wants to help and encourage these 21st century teachers.
